The focus of this consultation is the inclusion of air-to-air heat pumps, an important development in response to growing government interest in broadening the scope of low-carbon heating technologies.
The changes will ensure that requirements for air-to-air heat pumps are appropriate and fit for purpose and are as follows:
· MIS 3005-D – new clauses for design requirements for air-to-air heat pump systems
· MCS 007 – new (amended) criterion to the existing requirements in MCS 007 for air-to-air products
