Any complaints that we receive regarding the safety, quality, or compliance of an MCS certified installation will always be taken seriously. We appreciate non-compliance being brought to our attention.

If you spot any suspected non-compliance with an MCS certified installation or installer, you can report it to us directly using the form below.

Reporting concerns about an MCS certified installer

You may come across something that doesn’t look right about an MCS certified installer, installation, or product. This could involve unsafe, dishonest, or non-compliant behaviour.

In these circumstances, you can make a whistleblowing complaint – reporting information about illegal, unethical, or harmful behaviour from an MCS certified installer.

You may want to make a whistleblowing complaint if you’ve seen or experienced things like:

  • Fraud or dishonesty.
  • An installation that doesn’t meet MCS Standards.
  • The use of products that are not MCS certified.
  • Subcontracting work to businesses not following rules and regulations.

If you have concerns like these, it’s important to let us know so we can investigate and take action where needed.

How to whistleblow to MCS

You can raise a whistleblower complaint, including anonymously, if you wish by sending detailed evidence, including photographs, in any of the following ways:

  • Live chat with an available advisor

Please understand that it’s unlikely that we’ll be able to investigate further if photos or video evidence of the allegation(s) aren’t provided, so please do make sure that this is included.

Let us know if you would like to be notified and kept up to date with the progress of your whistleblowing complaint. All personal details will remain hidden and we will never use or disclose personal data.

If you select that you do not wish to be notified, we will not contact you but thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention.

If you choose to be kept up to date with your whistleblowing complaint, we will acknowledge it within 2 working days and contact you within 7 working days if further information is needed. We will aim to resolve the complaint as soon as possible, but this could take up to 8 weeks, depending on the issue.
