What is the ECO4 Scheme?

ECO4 is a UK Government scheme that provides funding for energy efficiency upgrades, including the installation of renewable energy solutions such as heat pumps and solar PV. The scheme is administered by Ofgem and runs until 31 March 2026.

Eligibility

You can apply for funding via the ECO4 scheme if your home has a low EPC rating of D, E, F, or G. You may also be eligible if you are currently receiving one or more of these benefits:

Child Benefit
Pension Guarantee Credit
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
Income Support
Tax Credits (Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits)
Universal Credit
Housing Benefit
Pension Credit Savings Credit

You must also own your own home or have the permission of your landlord, including if your property is owned by a social housing provider. There is more information on eligibility on Ofgem’s website.
