Find the information you need to access the Home Energy Scotland (HES) Grant & Loan Scheme.
The HES Grant and Loan Scheme is a Scottish Government initiative that provides homeowners in Scotland with a grant, interest-free loan or a combination of both to help cover the costs of installing renewable technologies, such as heat pumps and solar heating, in their homes.
The HES Grant & Loan Scheme allows consumers to access:
An uplift of £1,500 is available to households in remote rural and island areas, as well as off-gas accessible rural areas, as defined by the Scottish Government’s Urban Rural Classification. This means you could get a £9,000 grant towards a heat pump if you qualify.
You must be a homeowner in Scotland to apply for the scheme. You do not need to be in receipt of benefits to qualify.
